Mission Thrombectomy is an amazing organization of literal brain surgeons. We're talking SMART people. And their mission is to increase access to mechanical thrombectomy on a GLOBAL scale. That means getting quick access to lifesaving treatment for stroke for every human alive. Super smart people, amazing mission, and a brand that communicates the importance and the purpose of this cause, that was the goal.


The tough thing is... thrombectomy doesn't mean anything to most people. Mechanical thrombectomy seems obvious if your a brain surgeon surrounded by more brain surgeons... but beyond that it could mean just about anything. How can you get organizations onboard with supporting your cause if they don't even know what it is? The logo and the brand I designed for Mission Thrombectomy had to pack a PUNCH and accomplish a lot, without feelign crowded or confusing.


When you're looking at the logo and the supporting artwork, you'll see 3 things:

  • A brain

  • A reference to the globe

  • A representation of a literal mechanical thrombectomy mechanism

And you DON'T have to be a brain surgeon to get the picture.


Even better, we added a tagline to the brand that spells out, in clearest terms, what they are working tord: Global access for stroke treatment.

No medical jargain. No muddied waters with too many words. Just to the point in a way that laymen, without a medical degree, can understand and support.
